TUITION & ASSISTANCE
Rates for 2025 Spring Semester, a 5-month semester.

Guam Conservatory of Arts' tuition rates are competitive among the industry's high-quality pre-professional classical arts training facilities. While other studios in the area offer classes in dance and music, it should be understood that such studios focus primarily on providing more of a recreational experience to their students. As such, students who participate in neighborhood recreational dance studios are not prepared for the rigors of pursuing the arts at a high level. Guam Conservatory of Arts provides graded and progressive training.

Because classical arts training tends to be costly due to its high-frequency training model-especially for dancers, we offer three ways to lighten the load when it comes to paying for tuition. See the options below.

Students enrolling at the Conservatory must choose between the Pre-Professional Division or the Open Enrollment Division. Both divisions run on a semester basis (between 4.5 or 5 month training blocks).

Pre-Professional Division: for all music students and for dance students who take 3 or more classes per week.
Open Enrollment Division: for dance students taking one or two classes per week.

NEEDS-BASED SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES
Our decision to award needs-based scholarships is determined by the Board of Directors who employ an individualized and comprehensive process in reviewing each person’s application for the requested scholarship.
We know that there is a great variation among our applicants’ personal circumstances— home and working environments. In this regard, our scholarship decision-making process considers all aspects of each applicant’s personal history and as such, we do not award scholarships solely on the basis of any single criterion. We attempt to value the whole person considering where the applicant has been, is and would like to be in the future, and of course, the applicant’s desire and ability to enhance and promote the awareness, education and benefits of arts education on Guam.
We are committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all persons and do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expression, disability, religion, height, weight or veteran status.

The Board of Directors utilizes a comprehensive, in-depth process to evaluate candidates for the requested needs-based scholarship and we strive to ensure that each applicant receives fair consideration. Once the application has been submitted and documentation attesting to the applicant's need has been received by Guam Conservatory of Arts, the Board of Directors and/or a committee thereof, performs the initial review and thereafter, the Board and/or agent of the Conservatory will contact the applicant for an in-person and/or telephone interview. Once the interview has been completed, the application is referred back to the Board for a final determination whether or not to award the scholarship.

How many scholarships are given in each calendar year?
Since we are a nonprofit organization, our ability to provide scholarships is dependent upon our working capital and the amount of donations we receive. As such, there is no set amount that we will provide to applicants on a yearly basis. However, we do intend to make as many scholarships available during each calendar year.
Who is eligible to apply?
Any person is eligible to apply for a scholarship. Guam Conservatory of Arts is committed to a policy of equal opportunity for all persons and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, marital status, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, gender expressions, disability, religion, height, weight or veteran status.

How do I apply?

If you are a minor, we may ask your legal guardian to submit his/her official identification documents and proof of guardianship. In order to justify an award given because of financial need, additional documentation may be requested of you. Unless we specifically request additional information from you, submitting extra documents may only delay our decision.
